My Portfolio

Augustana Edda [yearbook]
"Edda" is the Old Norse word for poetry or prose. After being on my high school's yearbook staff, I joined the Edda and moved from a staff member, to section editor, to editor-in-chief!

I loved to get lost in design (no pun intended) to tell a cohesive story that accurately represented what Augustana looked like in 2018.

Augustana Mirror [newspaper]
Though it wasn't my main focus during college, you can't call yourself a journalist if you haven't been on at least one newspaper staff in your life!
The Edda and Mirror offices shared a door and a love for the First Amendment, and this newspaper will always hold a special place in my heart.

Palimpsests
A manuscript tutors in the Nancy Dickinson Writing Center publish and distribute every year full of writing advice for their peers, the Palimpsest gave me a place to write interesting pieces I wouldn't have otherwise!

Before I worked at the Writing Center, I loved utilizing these when working on assignments, so it was a privilege to create one alongside my tremendously talented coworkers.

Multimedia Gallaries
I am not a professional photographer or videographer by any means, but I do know my way around a DSLR and editing software.
In college I took Multimedia Storytelling, photojournalism, advanced journalism, and photography courses where I had photo and video projects, and in my free time I like to take pictures of my family, friends, and dog.
